The last couple of days on their trip my parents spent in lovely Nurnberg. This is where I live. If you come to visit, you can see this stuff too. In real life. Hint, hint.

The next morning we went to the Documentation Center - a museum on the site of the former Nazi training grounds and where Hitler gave his speeches. It's lots of video and photographs, interesting and impactful, but based upon how WWII evolved and the involvement of Nurnberg.

Then we drove around the grounds to the stadium, but first we saw this sign for Trash Wrestling on the way. Sadly, I missed this event, but is seemed ridiculous per my friends that went. Extreme, extreme fake wrestling w/ a focus on costumes and then a michael jackson group dance at the end....whaaat?

Later that night, we again found the most spider-riden place - the executioners bridge. yuck.
In our string of Nurnberg museums, we also went to the Toy Museum. Cool, but you can't take any photographs. On Sunday we rented bikes via a bike share program (well for mum and dad, i have a bike i heart) and road them to the Museum of Industrial Culture. Super cool and unexpected musuem. Highly recommend it.

I love art deco....even more so when it includes two wheels.
I also love sidecars!

Part 3...secret codes. WHHAATT! Exactly what I thought. How does this museum get any better?

The also had life-size examples of an apartment, a dentist, a bar, a theater, a barber, and a school from the turn of the century, well i guess turn of last century now...

The modern art museum in Stockholm as THE bicycle wheel art piece, but apprently that artist sold the idea from early 1900's german pubs.
German beer w/ an aligator logo? Last time I checked no aligators in Nurnberg. But the Lederer biergarten does have a large one hanging from the ceiling.

They also have minature, light up and working oktoberfest sets.
If anyone finds clear heads like this, please take/steal/buy them for me. I'll collect them and make sure you get paid for your services. My flat needs these.

The rest of Sunday we spent chilling out in the Berg.

Bandit came along on this afternoon adventure too. Here he is posing in the Princess Garden. I don't think dogs are supposed to be here, but it's Bandit and he left no marks, so alls good. He was very proud and happy to pose.
Sadly this was the end of my parent's trip. Course they have to come back (and w/ everyone else). There are tons more cities to see!
