One of the most amazing things I have ever seen, Winged Victory.

The coolest part of this painting was that above the typical ren. religious gold hallos etc, was this crazy space alien thing. Very Dali from the Tampa Museum.

After completing the 400 steps (exact figure!) back down, we needed fuel. Hot banana and nutella crepe, oui s'il vous plait!
We ate them and walked over to Sainte-Chapelle, where you can bathe in colored sunlight from the Upper Chapel's walls of stained glass.

1,113 scenese depicted in the 15 stained glass windows tell the story of mankind from Genesis through to Christ's resurrection. You read the windows left to right from the bottom upwards.

Of course we had to climb more stairs. 284 stairs to the top at the Arc. So we're at about 700 steps, just upwards, not including all of the stairs at the Lourve.

It's never comforting to be at the top of one of the most famous monuments in the world and then see about 24 ambulances arrive. Que paso??

Then the Arc was roped off and a ceremony to recognize French War heros began.
I would have expected the French military to be a bit more organized and orderly.

That evening after napping a bit, we walked around the Latin Quarter, where our hotel was, and stumbled upon this great resturant. L'Etoile du Berger. (star of Berger) Specialties fondue!
Our last stop of the evening, where they played acoustic mid-90's music and give a complementary glowstick with your straw.

After a great dinner, despite being exahusted, we knew there was more to check out.
If we had just gone back to bed after, we would have missed the wild wolves that roam the city streets.
