Church bombed from WWII. Very impressive.

Apparently Hamburg has more bridges than Venice. Def didn't find as many.

Cruise ship apartment building, check.
St.Michele Church

Grassy roofs.

Then we took a boat cruise. It was all in German, but based upon what the guide was saying, even in English it would have been boring. We just chillaxed, tried not to sleep, and looked out the windows...

They're building a ton of new developments along the waterfront, but because there aren't neighborhoods, grocery stores, shops, etc down there no one wants to live there. Way to go Hambug city planning.

Tent city under the bridge.
Diesel window. Excellent.
First impression was that Hamburg had some cool points like the downtown shopping center, the Rathaus, and the bombed church, but was generally lame. I've been told otherwise by quite a few people. As such, I'm not in a rush to get back there, but wouldn't pass up a random weekend trip to see it from an insider's perspective.
